Ezz Steel

Ezz Steel [ESRS] is a joint-stock company and leading regional steel producer established in April 1994 to manufacture steel rebars in Sadat City. In 1995, ESRS acquired 90.7% of National Al-Baraka for Iron & Steel which produces straight and coiled rebars in 10th of Ramadan City. ESRS facilities in Sadat and 10th of Ramadan have a combined production capacity of 1.5 mn tons per annum. Furthermore, ESRS owns 64% directly and indirectly of Al-Ezz Flat Steel (EFS).. EFS increased its production capacity by an additional 1.2mtpa by mid-2012. ESRS also owns a 55% stake in Al-Ezz Dekheila for Steel- Alexandria (EZDK). EZDK is the largest integrated steel plant in Egypt, with an annual production capacity of 2 mn tons of long products and 1mn tons of flat products. This structure has made ESRS a strong entity both locally (where it holds a 60% market share of long products and 46% of flat products as of Q1 2013) and internationally. ESRS is ranked among the top 60 steel producers worldwide.
Financial Performance:
Increased issued capital to EGP 2.7 B via internal issue of stock. Revenues for 2010 stood at EGP 16.6 Billion vs. EGP 12.6B in 2009.
