Est. in 1985, it counts among the large private Egyptian groups in terms of diversification and number of companies. In 2003, the group underwent a major financial engineering, following which National Bank of Egypt became its majority shareholder.

Egypt, being among first to have created in new city 'Six October', a comprehensive residential and tourism project, served by 14 of its companies fully integrated vertically, to develop everything from golf course to amusement park to the range of residential housing, movie theaters, etc..
Endeavored to localize a range of electronic industries in areas such as TV sets and medical equipment manufacturing. It also landed, 10 years ago the first private TV channel in Egypt.
Plans to launch a leading mobile telephone manufacturing project with a Chinese partner.
